  60.   IMPORTANT: AmokEd needs AmigaOS 2.0 or higher!

  62.   INSTALLATION:
  63.       copy the following files to the dir where AmokEd should resite:

  79.     AmokEd is residentable
  80.     Modify .edrc according to your desires (read the docs)

  82.   First Time AmokEd users:
  83.     READ THE DOCUMENTATION.
  84.     There is no online help for AmokEd.  The editor is designed for
  85.     programmers.
  86.     However, the distributed .edrc does set up some menus to help
  87.     first timers learn some of the more useful keymaps.

  89.   Seasoned AmokEd users:
  90.     Part 4 of this file ducuments the most important changes. The end
  91.     of the documentation contains changes and bug fixes to this
  92.     version.  Review the command list. The most important changes are
  93.     summerized at the end of this text.

  114. 5. known bugs
  115.  
  116.   · moving the mouse off the scroll arrows while still pressing the
  117.     mouse button and then releasing the button, the text will keep on
  118.     scrolling. This is a funny BOOPSI feature ;-)
  119.   · very miserious: hang sometimes, not really repoduceable :-(
  120.     ALoad then showes very, very high load and ARTM (I know, it has
  121.     Enforcer hits :-) says, AmokEd is in running state.
  122.     To save your texts, freeze the task, re-activate it and save
  123.     immediatly.
  124.     I got first hints where to search for the bug, so I hope to fix
  125.     it soon.

  127. 6. Important Changes to earlier releases

  129.   IMPORTANT: AmokEd needs AmigaOS 2.0 or higher!

  132.   · can read file packed by one of the upcomming XPK-libraries or
  133.     powerpacker, if xpk is installed
  134.   · supports the OberonSupport.lib directly
  135.   · AmokEd now uses an new format for its config files and stores
  136.     more information there.
  137.   · Shell-Arguments have changes, according to Style Guide.
  138.     Type 'AmokEd ?' for template.
  139.   · Variables are now stored in the local shell environment
  140.   · PubScreens and ToolTypes are supported
  141.   · Screens opens by AmokEd are public
  142.   · winows can be opened on any public screen
  143.   · winodws are AppWinodws, if not on WB an entry for the WB tools
  144.     menu will be generated

  148.   · the ARexx command 'quitquit' has been removed. It can
  149.     be substituted be 'quit quit'
  150.   · JOIN changes functionallity:
  151.     If the Cursor is behind the last character, the next line is
  152.     appended at cursor position
  153.     The old functionallity can be reache by 'last join'
